Kanan Aghayev has over 20 years of expertise in finance, banking and business management—particularly in financing and steering small and medium-sized enterprises—and more than a decade in academia. He specializes in corporate governance, design and implementation of management systems, and development and execution of corporate, business and financial strategies. His technical fields include micro and macroeconomics, monetary theory, financial markets and banking.

Ruslan is a senior finance professional with more than 20 years of experience across public and private institutions in Azerbaijan’s banking and financial sectors. He has held senior roles at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other leading financial and fintech organizations, contributing to policy development, financial infrastructure, and sector-wide innovation.

Fagan has nearly 20 years of international experience in asset management, corporate and investment banking, private banking, and institutional business. He began his career at the International Bank of Azerbaijan and later held senior roles at Bank ABB Moscow and Julius Baer, where he served as Executive Director for Central and Eastern Europe and Head of Institutional Business.
He is a Founding Partner of Blacktower Street Advisors GmbH, a Board Member of Crossinvest Group, and since 2025 the CEO of Blacktower Street Investment Advisors (Switzerland) GmbH. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law, a Master’s degree in Finance, and a Global Executive MBA.

Azer Akbarov is a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in banking and fintech-driven business development across Azerbaijan and international markets. At HBDC, he contributes to the firm’s strategic direction, ecosystem engagement, and partnership development, supporting HBDC’s mission to foster long-term value creation for businesses, investors and the communities.
